The phrase "lucky dog" will have added meaning this February at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, as the casino hosts and sponsors "Wags, Whiskers & Wines," a fundraiser to benefit the Niagara County SPCA. The event takes place Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Bear's Den Showroom.

Tickets for the fundraiser start at $50 and are available now at all Seneca Casino box offices, all Ticketmaster locations, at http://www.Ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 800-745-3000. The event also includes a concert by Niagara Falls' own Christina Custode. The 24-year-old singer-songwriter's music crosses a number of musical genres, and she was recently selected as "Best Female Vocalist" and for "Best Original Music" in Artvoice magazine.

All tickets include wine samples, hors d'oeuvres and a seat inside the Bear's Den Showroom for the concert. Tickets purchased at the $75 level also include an upgrade to a mid-tier concert seat, a thank-you on the Niagara County SPCA website and one entry into a drawing for an overnight dinner, gaming and hotel package at either Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel or Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel. Tickets purchased at the $100 level further upgrade the concert seat to a premium level and provide two entries into the drawing.

Attendees will enjoy a live auction at the event, with two trip packages up for bid. One package includes a trip for two with airfare to Sonoma, Calif., for four days/three nights at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. A second package includes a getaway for two to Lake Tahoe, Calif., for three days/two nights at The Ritz-Carlton, with accommodations at the Club Level and a "Full Day Adventure Experience" excursion with a choice of outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, hiking or Jeep rides.

The Niagara County SPCA also will have a booth at the event with information about pet adoption as well as its ongoing "No-Kill Initiative" to ensure that every animal at its shelter finds a home.
