Gov. Andrew Cuomo has appointed Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Deanna Alterio Brennen to the Power Proceeds Allocation Board. The five-member board will have the ability to use funds from unused New York Power Authority power allocations for economic development throughout Western New York.

Alterio Brennen will serve a five-year term.

"This is a great honor," Alterio Brennen said. "I feel my tenure as the head of such a strong business advocacy organization as the chamber, as well my experience as a member of the Niagara County IDA board, the Western New York Regional Development Council, the Greater Niagara Manufacturing Association and many other economic and development committees, will serve me well on this board."

Two other members of the board were appointed by the governor, and one each from the State Senate and Assembly.
