The outdoor skating rinks at DeVeaux Woods and Reservoir state parks are open and ready for business. This will be the fourth season at DeVeaux (rink never froze in 2012) and the inaugural season at Reservoir.

Both rinks will be open weather pending and are free for the public to use. Skate rentals are not available, so skaters must have their own skates.

The hours of operation are as follows:

•DeVeaux Woods

  • Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

•Reservoir

  • Daily, 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The rink at Deveaux was created by a partnership between the City of Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region of New York State Parks. Reservoir rink was built during reconstruction of the park, which was completed this past fall by the New York State Power Authority.
