The Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will present "Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters," at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Auditorium, 621 10th St.

"If you or someone you know is experiencing memory loss or behavioral changes, it's time to learn the facts," said Meghan Fadel, the chapter's director of education and training. "This free, interactive Alzheimer's awareness workshop is an important first step."

Early detection of Alzheimer's disease gives patients a chance to begin drug therapy, enroll in clinical studies and plan for the future.
