John D. Ceretto will be sworn-in and begin his second term as a New York state assemblyman on Monday, Dec. 31.
"I am honored and humbled to be entering a second term," Ceretto said. "While these last two years have seen tremendous progress for New York state and Western New York, there remains hard work to be done. I will work with my colleagues in Albany and locally to keep the momentum going. I am honored that Councilman (Chris) Aronica will be able to join me, and thank the Town of Grand Island and its residents for welcoming me for this ceremony."
Ceretto was first elected in 2010 to the 138th Assembly District. He was re-elected, but for the newly created 145th Assembly District, on Nov. 6. The 145th Assembly District is made up of the towns of Cambria, Grand Island, Lewiston, Niagara and Wheatfield, the City of Niagara Falls, and portions of the City of North Tonawanda.
