It's that time of the year again. Are you looking for something fun for children to do during their holiday vacation? If so, YMCA Camp Kenan has the answer with its "Winter Camper Retreat" on Dec. 22 and 23. This overnight will be filled with activities such as camp crafts, winter nature activities, holiday cookie decorating, snow relays, rock climbing, campfires and songs.
Bus transportation is available from the Lockport Family YMCA (19 East Ave.) to and from camp. Campers need to bring warm clothes, a sleeping bag and blanket, a pillow, boots, sneakers, toiletries, and a hat and gloves. Children ages 6 to 14 are welcome to attend this overnight event.
The cost for the YMCA Camp Kenan "Winter Camper Retreat" is $35 for Lockport Family YMCA members with bus transportation, and $30 without bus. Non-member pricing is $45 with bus, and $40 without the bus.
The retreat starts at 10 a.m. on Dec. 22. All campers riding the bus must be at the Lockport Family YMCA no later than 9:30 a.m. The retreat ends at 2 p.m. on Dec. 23. The bus will arrive at the Y at 2:30 p.m.
