Are you a parent or family member of a person with an intellectual or other developmental disability? Are you a professional in the field - school, social worker or human resource agency? Are you a self-advocate? Then participate in an objective information night titled, "Disability Services. ... You Have Questions, We Have Answers," from 5:30 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Networking begins at 5:30 and the program follows at 6 pm. This free event will include information on a wide range of services/programs available in Niagara County - from birth to senior citizen. It promises to answer questions such as: who provides these services, how to enroll and the role of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.

An overview of the "state" of waivers, funding, Medicaid, etc., also will be provided with time for participants to ask questions.

The event will be held at 1555 Fashion Outlet Blvd. (Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara), the Town of Niagara. For more information, or to register, call 716-332-4170, 1-866-277-4762 (toll free) or visit http://www.parentnetworkwny.org/november-workshops.

The event is sponsored and funded by Parent Network of WNY, Early Childhood Direction Center, The Advocacy Center and DDAWNY.
