General Motors Professional Managers Network, Niagara Hospice, Heinrich Chevrolet and Micro Graphics recently sponsored a car raffle to benefit hospice care in Western New York. The first-prize winner got to choose between a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible LT1 or $25,000 in cash. Second prize was $1,000, and there were 14 other prizewinners at $500 each.

Rochester's James Grassi won the contest and selected the convertible.

Thanks to our community and General Motors employees more than 3,000 tickets were sold. Proceeds from the event totaled more than $22,000, which will benefit Niagara Hospice, Hospice Buffalo, Lifetime Care and VNS of Rochester.

"We sincerely appreciate the efforts of the General Motors Community that made this raffle successful, and we at Niagara Hospice are happy to announce that we will continue this raffle in 2013," said Mandy Raff, event coordinator for the Niagara Hospice Alliance. "Please visit www.NiagaraHospice.org soon for all the details on the 2013 car raffle."
