Girl Scouts from the Lew-Port Service Unit recently held their fourth annual PJ Round Up at Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Lewiston. Each year, the girls come together for a pajama party - with a twist. Every girl brings a new pair of pajamas, slippers or a robe to be donated to a charity. Dressed in their pajamas, they sample Girl Scout cookies, and sit on their sleeping bags to watch a movie.

This year, the Girl Scouts collected more than 50 sets of pajamas, robes and slippers, which they will donate to Girl Scouts on Staten Island who are rebuilding their lives after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. The UPS Store in Lewiston has offered to assist with the shipping.

Those wishing to contribute items to the Staten Island Scouts can contact Emma Hartloff ([email protected]).
