Community Missions will hold an Antiques and Fine Arts Auction on Sunday, Nov. 11, from 12:15 to 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St. Admission is $10 per person or $15 per couple.

The afternoon will open with viewing of items for auction and an international sampling of hors d'oeuvres, including French, Italian, Vietnamese, Indian, Danish and other delicacies.

The auction itself will begin at 1 p.m. There will be more than 200 auction items, including quilts, jewelry, gilt mirrors, art glass, bronzes, lamps, dolls, crystal, rocking chairs, paintings with several listed artists, an antique screen, silver tea sets, and many other antiques and fine arts. The auction will include a late-1800s painting by John B. Whittaker - one of the founders of the Brooklyn Museum of Art, which still has several of his paintings. There will also be a jewelry sale.

The auction will support Community Missions Crisis Services programs, including the soup kitchen, food pantry, homeless shelter, Mark's Place home for people living with AIDS, and parole re-entry programs to help the most needy in Niagara County.

Auctioneer will be Bob Deull. Honorary chair is Carol Rogers and event co-chairs are Ginger McNally, Michael and Laurie Ryan and Mary Maj.
