Byblos Hospitality, the new owners of the Holiday Inn Grand Island, is forming an action plan for development of the hotel that it bought at auction last week.

The company, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, purchased the hotel for $4.4 million.

"At this particular time, I would just like to express my full satisfaction with pleasure in purchasing Holiday Inn Grand Island by our group," said Jean Samman, CEO of Byblos Hospitality. "An action plan will be set to upgrade the property's facilities, rooms renovation, lobby renovation and front hotel entrance elevation.

"We are considering this project as a diving board towards other potential projects. With the help of all concerned, we would like to score and achieve an operation and many facilities to the expectation of Buffalo's residents first and a tourist destination equal to a corporate business resort in the area."
