Town of Niagara budget hearing delayed

The Town of Niagara's public hearing on its 2013 budget, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 5, at 4 p.m.

Deputy Supervisor Marc Carpenter said Town Board members wanted more time to work on the budget before presenting it to the public.

"We're trying to trim it the best we can," he said, explaining that's a difficult task. "Steve (Richards, town supervisor) always puts out a very tight budget.
