Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the movie "Niagara," starring Marilyn Monroe by experiencing some of the best Niagara Falls attractions from the film.
For couples looking to get away this fall and experience a vacation that mimics the nostalgia of 1953, the Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. has created a package that includes some of the best Niagara Falls attractions seen in the iconic movie.
In honor of the 60th anniversary of the film's release, NTCC has put together a budget-friendly trip for those seeking adventure and who desire to explore Niagara USA.
"One of the best aspects of watching 'Niagara' is to witness the characters enthused about participating in the same activities that we still enjoy today," said NTCC Director of Marketing and Communications Melissa Morinello. "From historically rich Old Fort Niagara to world-class fishing, visitors can now recreate their own 'Niagara' as people have done for generations."
Couples can visit Niagara Falls, tour Old Fort Niagara, and even grab their fishing poles for an excellent, discounted chartered fishing trip along the Niagara River. NTCC is including a gift bag with every purchase, which includes a copy of the movie "Niagara," a bottle of champagne, and biscotti from DiCamillo Bakery.
Stay at the The Giacomo, currently the only boutique hotel located in downtown Niagara Falls, where it was rumored that Monroe walked the grand staircase.
The package is complete with a special discount to Wine on Third, where patrons can relax with a bottle of local wine, dinner or tapas.
"Niagara 60th Anniversary Package" is available until May 2013 and based on hotel availability. To reserve a spot, or for more information, visit www.niagara-usa.com.
The mission of the NTCC is to expand the economic prosperity of the Niagara USA communities by generating individual and group visitation.
