Free community forum will focus on health care reform's impact on individuals and businesses

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will present a free program to help residents and business owners understand the changes mandated by federal health care reform on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Niagara Falls High School, 4455 Porter Road.

Titled "Healthcare Reform: What Does It Mean for You," the program will be led by:

•Kathleen Shure, senior vice president, managed care and insurance expansion, Greater New York Hospital Association

•Elisabeth Wynn, senior vice president, health finance and reimbursement, Greater New York Hospital Association

•Joseph A. Ruffolo, president and CEO, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center

"Hardly a day goes by without someone asking me how the Affordable Care Act, also known as 'Obamacare,' is going to impact their personal situation or their business's bottom line," Ruffolo said. "The objective of this forum is to cut through the confusion and get the facts about health care reform and its impact on the public we serve."
