Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will conduct a flu shot clinic for adults ages 18 and older on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic will be held in the Medical Center Auditorium, 621 10th St.

This year's influenza vaccine protects against the H3N2 influenza strain, swine flu, part of the H1N1 family, and a Type B strain - all in a single dose. Pneumonia vaccine also will be available.

In order to expedite the inoculation process, participants should wear a short-sleeved shirt or top.

Those seeking flu shots should use the hospital's 10th Street entrance or the walkway from the attached parking ramp, where free parking will be provided.

Patients with health insurance, including Medicare, should be prepared to present their insurance cards. No co-pay will be required. Individuals who do not have insurance will be charged $20 for a flu shot.

People exhibiting cold-like symptoms, including an elevated temperature, should wait until a later clinic to get their flu shots.
