Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson told Bob Koshinski of his team's 35-34 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, "that one burns." Jackson made those comments Monday during the live broadcast of his WBBZ-TV program, "The Fred Jackson Show."
Koshinski and Jackson talked about the turnovers from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Jackson said, "Turnovers are going to hurt us. ... We have to play consistent."
Koshinski's website, www.allsportswny.com, reports, "Fitzpatrick had played his best game of the season for three quarters, but his interception late in the fourth quarter and weak attempts on the last drive have fans shaking their heads."
The Bills had an 83-yard drive down the field early on that ended with Jackson taking a 3-yard screen pass from Fitzpatrick in for a touchdown. Fitzpatrick was aided by a strong rushing attack that saw running backs C.J. Spiller and Jackson combine for 141 yards on 21 carries.
Jackson had 120 scrimmage yards in the game against the Titans, moving him into seventh place on the Bills' all-time yards from scrimmage leaderboard (5,660), passing Elbert Dubenion (5,620).
Fullback Corey McIntyre joined Jackson and Koshinski to talk about the game, and how the team will move on to face the Houston Texans after a bye week. When asked what McIntyre's main mission was on the field, he responded with a smile, "To knock 'em out!"
Members of the St. Joe's Marauders and JFK Bears high school football teams filled the studio audience.
