Town of Lewiston Police Blotter for Oct. 20, 2012

The following activity occurred Monday, Oct. 8, to Sunday, Oct. 14, as reported by the Lewiston Police department. LPD logged a total of 86 response calls during this period.

Monday, Oct. 8

•200 block of Lake Road, Youngstown, car-tree accident. Driver attempting to leave scene. Patrol reported vehicle had a blown tire and negative results for intoxication and any warrants on the driver.

•900 block of Elliott Drive, check welfare. Patrol had to gain entry to residence. Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS on location for transport.

•Lewiston Road and Hyde Park Boulevard, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 44, placed under arrest for operation while license is suspended/revoked; aggravated unlicensed operation; operation while registration is suspended revoked; operating, permitting operation without insurance and speed in zone. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•Ridge Road and Cayuga Drive, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 21, listed in the report. Negative results for DWI. Vehicle towed.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

•3700 block of Dickersonville Road, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a male, 51; suspect unknown.

•Niagara University campus, larceny. Statement taken from a male.

•Lewiston sand docks, suspicious vehicle. All OK; no arrest.

•4600 block of Washington Drive, aggravated harassment complaint. Patrol spoke with a female, 18, regarding a male, 25. Report filed.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

•Water Street, recovered stolen vehicle. Patrol reported a vehicle with New Jersey registration; Lambertville, NJ, Police Department notified and vehicle secured.

•NU campus, assist. LPD on location with State Police and Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Four males taken into custody on unlawful possession of marijuana charges along with other narcotics. K-9 search conducted.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, kitchen fire. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. on location.

•1200 block of Ridge Road, car-deer PDO accident. Statement taken from the driver; no injury or tow. Report filed.

•1300 block of Saunders Settlement Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported the vehicle as unoccupied with its lights on.

Thursday, Oct. 11

•Locations on the 1600 block of Swann Road, the NU campus, and Ridge and Dickersonville roads, two reports of two-vehicle PDO accidents and one two-vehicle injury accident. Statements taken from all drivers. Vehicles towed and one driver taken for treatment on the injury accident. Reports filed.

•Lower NYPA lot, larceny. Male, 23, reported a fishing pole taken. No report requested.

•5300 block of Military Road- Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center, possible injury complaint. Male, 56, reported complaint from a prior road rage incident.

•2300 block of Ridge Road, criminal mischief. Suspect, unidentified, threw a pumpkin at a mailbox.

•800 block of The Circle Drive, standby. Patrol on location for an exchange of children.

•Saunders Settlement and Chew roads, vehicle-traffic stop. Female, 42, cited for operation while license is suspended/revoked; aggravated unlicensed operation. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•400 block of Baker Drive, check welfare/suspicious vehicle. Plate number logged; all OK.

Friday, Oct. 12

•800 block of Oriole Lane, loud party. All OK; advised by patrol.

•Saunders Settlement and Military roads, intoxicated driver. Male, 38, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Blood Alcohol Content testing performed; BAC result. .17 of 1 percent. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•NU campus, intoxicated male/mental health response. Male, 18, taken voluntarily via Rural Metro to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•Swann Road, suspicious vehicle. Caller reported a F-150 pickup, color black, with the driver passed out. Vehicle GOA.

•700 block of Hillview Court, trespassing. Negative results and property secured.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara-Wheatfield High School, fight. Male, 16, and second juvenile listed as suspects. Male issued appearance ticket for Lewiston Town Court for disorderly conduct and released. Report filed.

•NU campus, larceny. Female complainant reported a credit card stolen from the mail. Report filed.

•5300 block of Annover Road, criminal mischief. Male reported an unidentified suspect set a bench on fire on his front porch.

•5300 block of Elm Drive, larceny. Statement from a female; suspect unknown.

•Miller Road and Nesbitt Drive, vehicle-traffic stop. Female, 36, cited for operation while license is suspended/revoked; aggravated unlicensed operation. Uniform traffic ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•200 block of North Seventh Street, larceny. Statement taken from a male, 52, regarding a male suspect. Report filed.

•4600 block of Model City Road, bad check complaint. Statement taken from a male regarding a female suspect.

•Location not specified, larceny of credit card. Statement taken from a female, 36, regarding a female suspect.

•2500 block of Saunders Settlement Road, overdose. Patrol spoke with a female, 82, regarding a female, 42, who was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•2200 block of School House Road, domestic. Patrol spoke with a female, 48, and a male, 43. Domestic Incident Report, Spectrum Justice System and patrol's report all completed.

Saturday, Oct. 13

•5300 block of Annover Road, unattended death. Male, 83, listed.

•NU campus, intoxicated male. Male. 18, taken to Mount St. Mary's by Upper Mountain.

•1500 block of Swann Road, domestic. Female, 40, and a male, 32, listed as persons involved.

•4500 block of Washington Drive, domestic. Female, 33, listed as a complainant and male, 31, listed as a suspect.

•1000 block of Escarpment Drive, burglary. Statement taken from a female, 34; suspect unknown.

•900 block of Onondaga Street, standby. Male, 60, listed as complainant and female, 33, listed as a person involved.

•5800 block of Pearl Street, Sanborn, custody dispute. Male, 44, listed as complainant and female, 40, listed as person involved. Handled by patrol.

•100 block of Center Street, criminal mischief. Female, 56, reported a valet employed at the hotel damaged a vehicle.

•Locations on River Walk Drive, South, and the 5800 block of Military Road, suspicious vehicle complaints. All OK, both locations.

Sunday, Oct. 14

•1500 block of Swann Road, aggravated harassment/follow-up. Deposition secured.

•Lewiston Road, one-vehicle PDO accident. Statement taken from the driver; vehicle secured, report filed.

•NU campus, assist EMS. Two males, intoxicated, taken to Mount St. Mary's EM-Star by Upper Mountain.

•Lewiston Road/Irving Drive, suspicious persons. Three males advised not to walk in roadway; picked up by friends.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, intoxicated driver. Male, 57, arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired related charges, aggravated unlicensed operation, first, and refusal of breath testing request. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•1500 block of Swann Road, follow-up on domestic. Patrol reported the arrest of a male, 32. No further details.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, criminal mischief. Complainant reported a headlight missing from a vehicle.

•2400 block of Moore Road, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a male, 44 regarding mailbox damage. Suspect unknown.

•Lewiston Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Female listed as driver; no further details. Vehicle towed with 12-hour hold.

•700 block of Youngstown-Lockport road, suspicious person. Patrols checked area for a person attempting to break into residence. Negative results on suspect and any burglary attempt.
