The Town of Porter Historical Society invites readers to attend its next monthly program. "200 Years of Porter History," which was created to celebrate the bicentennial of the Town of Porter, will be presented at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15, in the Ransomville Historical Preservation Room (Ransomville Road behind the Ransomville Library).

The program is based on displays highlighting important periods in Ransomville history. These displays, created by Peggy Shear, Millie Hillman and associates, are on view in the Ransomville Historical Preservation Room.
