State Sen. Mark Grisanti urges all local citizens and businesses to join him at a free event on Saturday, Oct. 6, to properly dispose of electronic items from computers to televisions.

"As the chairman of the New York State Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, I think it is essential that electronic items are disposed of properly," Grisanti said. "Since we are constantly updating technology, the number of items found lying around or thrown in the garbage has drastically increased. This event will provide a chance for people to clean out their homes and find a way to dispose of their trash safely."

The first e-Waste recycling event in Tonawanda will provide professional disposal of items both large and small to ensure they do not end up harming the environment. People can bring items such as computer monitors, printers, fax machines, home phones, televisions, and video game consoles to dispose of properly. Load up the car and professionals will unload at site.
