The Erie County Sheriff's Office celebrated New York State Sheriff's Week by inviting the media and local elected town and county officials to participate in several specialized services provided by the Erie County Sheriff's Office. The guests participated in SWAT drills; learned about Capt. Kevin Caffery's harrowing rescues; shot firearms and rode in different types of specialized vehicles utilized by the sheriff's office.

Nearly 40 people participated. The goal was to highlight and educate the participants to all of the services that the Erie County Sheriff's Office has to offer while simultaneously celebrating the office of sheriff.
