Richard (Pete) Taylor, Ken Kenny and the late Bill Bradshaw Sr. were voted into The Niagara Falls Sports Hall Of Fame. The three, all with strong ties to the Lewiston area, are among 11 new inductees that comprise the Class of 2012.

Others voted in by the 14 member board of directors include Ron Bator, Pete Marra, the Rev. Jerry Bartko, Ronnie Zell, Rich Magliazzo, Bob Wallace, Frank Chirello and Jim Zielinski. Bradshaw Sr. will receive The Robert Eagler Memorial Award given each year to a deceased candidate.

According to NFSOF board member Joe Rizzo, these individuals were voted in for their contributions to the community as outstanding athletes and/or coaches, managers, organizers, officials, athletic directors, sponsors and volunteers. Eligible recipients must be 55 years of age or older to be considered.

The NFSOF organization, originally known as The Old Timers Sports Hall Of Fame, was established in 1968 and 269 members have been inducted.

An induction dinner will be held at The Como Restaurant on Saturday, Oct. 27. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children, 10 and under. This includes a wine and beer open bar from 6 to 7 p.m. and then again one hour following the dinner and inductions, which will be at 7 p.m.
