Seneca Gaming Corp. has announced that it received 33 "Best of Gaming 2012" awards from the readers of Casino Player magazine. The annual survey determines the best casinos, hotels, amenities and games throughout the U.S.
Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel ranked in the top three among "Native Northeast" casinos for 15 categories, including four coveted best overall awards for hotel, rooms, buffet and coffee shop. Some of its other notable honors were for best suites, best Chinese food at Thunder Mountain Buffet, best overall gaming resort, best casino, best spa, best players club and best Italian food at Patria restaurant.
Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel ranked in the top three among "Native Northeast" casinos for 18 categories. Some of the notable honors included best entertainment, best steakhouse at The Western Door restaurant, best seafood at Koi restaurant, best bar/lounge at Club 101, best rooms, best suites, best dealers, best reel slots, best video poker, best blackjack and "Casino Where You Feel Luckiest."
Seneca Casinos' overall total of 33 "Best of Gaming" awards is up from 26 in 2011. The full list of awards is available in the August 2012 issue of Casino Player.
Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel and Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel are both AAA Four Diamond Award hotels - two of only three such designated properties in Western New York. Earlier this year, Seneca Niagara earned the prestigious award for a seventh consecutive year and Seneca Allegany achieved its fourth year in a row. Only 3.8 percent of the 59,000 AAA Diamond Rated establishments throughout North America and the Caribbean earn the rating.
