On Friday evening, Sept. 14, The United States Navy Band Great Lakes Wind Ensemble will be joined onstage at Old Fort Niagara by members of the Marine Forces Reserve Band, The Royal Canadian Navy Band and the U.S. Coast Guard Band for a special concert commemorating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the upcoming bicentennial of the "Star-Spangled Banner."

The concert is free and open to the public. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawnchairs as this is an outdoor concert in front of the 286-year-old French Castle. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the concert will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be available for purchase at the fort's log cabin food service facility.

The concert is co-sponsored by the Niagara 1812 Bicentennial Legacy Council. More information is available at Old Fort Niagara's website, www.oldfortniagara.org.
