Moose supreme governor to visit Lewiston

Lower Niagara Moose Lodge No. 584, located at 112 S. Water St., invites area residents to stop by and say hello to Moose International Supreme Gov. Jim Henderson Sr. (pictured) who will visit the Lewiston lodge for a reception starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12.

Henderson rose from the post of supreme junior governor to become the Moose fraternity's chief presiding officer on July 3. He was elected by vote of Supreme Lodge delegates to a one-year term as supreme governor at the organization's 124th international convention in Tampa. Henderson is expected to be welcomed to Lewiston by Village of Lewiston Mayor Terry Collesano and State Sen. George Maziarz.

The Moose organization, headquartered at Mooseheart, Ill., consists of 1 million members in 1,800 lodges and 1,650 chapters throughout the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda.
