At the 2012 Niagara County Fair, 4-H member Ben Gardner would like to give you a memorable experience. On Sunday, Aug. 5 at 11 am., the public is invited to walk a dairy calf in a 'Lil Britches event.
People interested in participating may pre-register at 433-8339 or the day of the event, meet in the 4-H Coliseum to register with Gardner.
This is the 75th year of 4-H in Niagara County. Gardner is a member of a three-generation 4-H family, and he is organizing this activity as a way of teaching others about agriculture and where their food comes from.
The 2012 Niagara County Fair runs through Aug. 1-5. This year, the event is sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County; Niagara County's Federal Credit Union; KAX Solutions and Service; Faery Auctions; NYSCOPA Albion Correctional Facility; Pot 'O Gold Bar and Grill; Niagara Implement; and Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union.
