The Wheatfield Farmers Market celebrated Christmas in July on July 25. Santa, AKA Wheatfield resident and County Legislature Chairman Bill Ross, braved the heat and arrived to pass out small gifts to a crowd of adoring children. However, as the second photo shows, there's always a doubter in every group.

The farmers market continues from 3 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the Wheatfield Town Hall parking lot. Other special events are planned. (photos by Walter Bissett)
