Performers announced for Tony Awards

Performances include "Newsies," "Nice Work If You Can Get It," "Once," "Evita," "Follies," "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess," "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Leap of Faith"

An unforgettable night of performances will be featured on the 66th Annual Tony Awards, live from the Beacon Theatre, Sunday, June 10 (8 to 11 p.m. live), on the CBS Television Network. The show will include performances by the 2012 Tony-nominated Best Musicals "Newsies," "Nice Work If You Can Get It," "Once," "Evita," "Follies," "The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Leap of Faith" and "Ghost the Musical."

In addition, the evening will feature performances by Best Play nominees "End of the Rainbow," "One Man, Two Guvnors" and "Peter and the Starcatcher," as well as a performance by the casts of "Ghost the Musical" and "Godspell," featuring Corbin Bleu.

The night will be hosted by Emmy Award winner Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother"). Ellen Barkin, Candice Bergen, Jessica Chastain, Sheryl Crow, Nick Jonas, Angela Lansbury, James Marsden, Trey Parker, Jim Parsons, Mandy Patinkin, Tyler Perry, Bernadette Peters, Christopher Plummer, Paul Rudd, Amanda Seyfried and Matt Stone will be presenters on the awards show, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.

This year marks the 66th anniversary of the Tony Awards, which were first held on April 6, 1947, at the Waldorf Astoria's Grand Ballroom. The American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tonys were founded in memorial to Antoinette ("Tony") Perry, the American Theatre Wing's World War II chairperson.
