Lauren Bonilla, fundraising coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Western New York, accepts a $1,000 check from Robert Burns at his Wheatfield Tim Hortons location on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Burns owns six Tim Hortons locations in Niagara Falls, Wheatfield and Town of Niagara. Four of his stores raised the money in 10 days for the Shamrocks Against Dystrophy program, which will help send local children to MDA summer camp.

"The community supports us and we feel it's a good idea to give back to the community," Burns said. He added that his stores will be having their own "camp day" on Wednesday, June 6, when all coffee sales will be donated to help send more than 15,000 youngsters to the Tim Hortons children's camps in Campbellsville, Ky., and five locations in Ontario.
