Local officials will gather Thursday at 6416 Inducon Drive West, Sanborn, to tour the new North American headquarters for Edwards Vaccuum.
United Kingdom-based Edwards and senior officials from the company, including Chief Operating Officer Ron Krisanda, will be on hand to unveil the new manufacturing facility.
Edwards Vacuum is consolidating operations from various locations, including 28 new jobs from Massachusetts, into its new facility, which will ultimately provide approximately 150 jobs.
Edwards is a leading manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products and abatement systems and a leading provider of related value-added services for the manufacture of semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs and solar cells and a leader in vacuum technology for industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical, scientific, process, glass coating and food packaging industries as well as a wide range of R&D applications.
The new facility is 64,000 square feet and cost more than $3.5 million to construct.
