Food review by Maria Rose

So, the other day I was looking for a place to get a light dinner and a good beer down in Buffalo. I wanted to go somewhere I could sit down, but get my food fast, as I was starving. So, as I was driving down Elwood Avenue, I turned on to Allen Street and saw The Old Pink Bar.

When you first see the bar from the outside, it is purple with green flames. It looks crazy, but inside they make an even crazier steak sandwich. I never had such an amazing sandwich in my life. The steak was so tender and moist and packed with amazing flavor. It was covered with melted cheese, peppers, and onions. The sandwich might run you $10, but it is well worth it. To top that off, I had a great Magic Hat number 9 to wash it down.

Not only is it a great bar to eat at, but it is a great social place. That bar is "popping" from midnight till 4 in the morning. The bar might not be that big, but people were packing in. It was a great place to meet people over some good beer. And not just some water-downed beer you pay way too much for. They had a wide selection of domestic and foreign beers.

Next time you want to grab a great bite, good beer, and meet some new people or hang out with friends, head to The Old Pink Bar.

The Old Pink Bar is found at 223 Allen St., Buffalo.
