Experience the energy of "The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue" and support the cultural organizations of Niagara County. The national touring act performs a benefit concert on Friday. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the member organizations of the Cultural Alliance of Niagara.

Dress up in your '50s duds and join in for a doo wop celebration on March 23 at the Historic Riviera Theater in North Tonawanda.

The Corvettes have toured with many legendary groups, including the Drifters, The Platters, The Shirelles, The Marvelettes, and Gary U.S. Bonds. Come early and enjoy a cash bar and the mighty Wurlitzer before the 8 p.m. concert. Parking is free of charge.

Proceeds from the concert will fund a cooperative marketing campaign for Niagara County cultural groups. CAN members include the Aquarium of Niagara, Artpark, Carnegie Art Center, Carrousel Museum, Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University, Kenan Center, Lewiston Council on the Arts, McClew Interpretative Center at Murphy Orchards, Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, Niagara County Historical Association, North Tonawanda History Museum, Old Fort Niagara, Power Vista Visitor Center, and the Historic Riviera Theater.

"I am very pleased to be able to offer our space to host this event for the Cultural Alliance of Niagara," said Frank Cannata, executive director of the Riviera Theatre. "I am excited about working with so many dedicated people who wish to raise awareness and increase the opportunities for people to experience first class cultural venues and activities in Niagara County."

Tickets can be purchased online at www.rivieratheatre.org or by calling the box office at 716-692-2413.
