The Lewiston Public Library, 305 S. Eighth St., in the Village of Lewiston, announces the following programs, events and activities for the month of March.
•AARP Tax Aid Service continues this tax season at the library. Sign up for a free appointment with a representative. Appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m.

•Computer classes in March include: Facebook basic. Wednesday, March 7, from 10 to 11 a.m., Facebook intermediate, Wednesday, March 7, from 1 to 4 p.m., and Word basic. Wednesday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is required for all computer classes.

•Spring Fling returns to the Lewiston Public Library on Saturday, March 31, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Join us and a special guest for stories, crafts and a snack.
•Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the McCarthy School of Irish Dance at the library on Monday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m.
•The Rev. Theresa Kime from Unitarian Universalist Church will present a program, "Exploring Spiritual Disciplines" on Saturday, March 31, from 10 to noon. Come discover and engage in two or more spiritual disciplines taken from a range of faith traditions.

Clubs and More
•The Knitting Club meets every Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. No registration is required and knitters of all skill levels are welcome.

•The Lewiston Book Club will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 13, at 1:30 p.m.

•The Parachute Group will meet on Tuesdays, March 13, and 27 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The meetings will provide a venue for networking, sharing contacts, ideas for the best practices on the job search, and guest presenters on topics of interest to the group. The meeting is unaffiliated with any organization and is free and open to the public
•Moms Book Chat will meet Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m. Discussed will be "Wicked Appetite," by Janet Evanovich.
•Personal instructional genealogy appointments are available Wednesdays from 10 to noon.

•The Friends of the Lewiston Public Library maintain a used book room all year long, open during library hours. Items for sale include fiction, non-fiction, and children's materials.
•March meetings for the month include the Lewiston Library board of trustees, Monday, March 5, at 5 p.m.; and Friends of the Library, Tuesday, March 13, at 6 p.m.
Weekly Story Time
•Alphabet Soup with Miss Ann, for children ages 3 to 5 will be held on Mondays, March 5, 12, 19 and 26, at 10:30 a.m.
•Lapsit story time with Miss Ann, for children age birth to 23 months, will be held on Wednesdays, March 7, 14, 21 and 28, at 9:30 a.m.
•Toddler hour with Miss Ann, for children ages 24 months to 3 years, will be held on Wednesdays, March 7, 14, 21 and 28, at 10:30 a.m.
•Story time with Mrs. Leardini, for children of all ages, will take place on Thursdays, March 8, 15, 22 and 29, at 10:30 a.m.
•Evening story time with Miss Ann for all ages will be offered on Tuesday, March 6. Featured will be the work "In Like a Lion." For more information call the library, 754-4720.
•Tail Waggin' Tutors continues at the Lewiston Public Library.
