Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, today announced that Renae Kimble has been appointed to serve on the Niagara Falls Water Board. Ceretto had previously recommended Kimble for the position in a letter to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.

"I am thrilled that Renae has earned the appointment," Ceretto said. "I stressed to Speaker Silver her qualifications, and I am appreciative of his confidence in her. Renae Kimble was the best person for the job, and her appointment shows what can be accomplished when we put partisan politics aside and work for the good of Niagara Falls first."

Ceretto received the confirmation-of-appointment letter from Silver Thursday morning. It read: "I am pleased to inform you that, at your recommendation, I have appointed Renae Kimble to the Niagara Falls Public Water Board."

"I am excited to get to work," Kimble said. "I am humbled by the confidence shown in me by Assemblyman Ceretto. I am pleased to again serve the people of Niagara Falls, and I look forward to working with the other board members and staff members at the water board."

Niagara Falls City Councilman Glenn Choolokian said, "This is the right appointment. I'm ready to work with Renae and the rest of the board to serve the people of Niagara Falls. Congratulations to Renae and Assemblyman Ceretto. It's great to see both parties working together."

"I have every confidence in Renae to do the very best for Niagara Falls," Ceretto said. "I'm glad the speaker recognized her character and qualifications. It's a great day for the Niagara Falls community."
