Starpoint High School is making waves again (and expects to win raves again) with its annual musical.

The school will present "Titanic" from March 8 to 10 in the high school auditorium. The 45-member cast has been rehearsing for four months.

"Starpoint will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. 'Titanic - The Musical' is sure to be as grand and as impressive as the luxury liner was 100 years ago," said Jason Gielow, show producer and Starpoint teacher.

Show times are at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10. There also will a 2 p.m. performance on March 10. Seating is general admission and doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. The school is located at 4363 Mapleton Road, Pendleton.

Show tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and children or students are $4. Presale tickets are available at the school district office through Debbie Maybach. Tickets also will be available at the door, but Gielow advises coming early, because past shows have sold out.

The Starpoint PTA also will offer "Dinner and a Show" on March 8. A family of four receives dinner and show tickets for $36, an individual adult is $11, and individual students or senior citizens are $8. The dinner runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., with tickets available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
