Nik Wallenda will get a chance to pitch his dream of walking across the Niagara Gorge between Canada and the United States at Niagara Falls to Ontario Tourism Minister Michael Chan on Friday.
Wallenda will, within hours board a plane back home in Sarasota, Fla., to make the trip Toronto in advance of Friday's 10 a.m. meeting at Queen's Park.
In a telephone interview with Bullet News Thursday, Wallenda, who has been seeking a face-to-face with the minister for months in hopes of winning approval for his bid, said he could hardly be more excited.
"I'm extremely thrilled that this meeting is going to happen," Wallenda said. "This is one step closer to making my dream happen."
