The Youngstown Lions Club announces a scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded to a graduating 2012 high school senior by the Youngstown Lions Club in memory of the former mayor of Youngstown, Neil Riordan.
The applicant must have a relative who is currently or has been a member of the Youngstown, Newfane, Ransomville, Lewiston or Wilson Lions Club. The graduate must be enrolled full time in a college/university or trade school beginning in September of the scholarship year.
Applications will be available in the guidance offices at Lewiston-Porter, Wilson, Newfane and Niagara Catholic high schools.
The deadline for application submission is May 1.
