Youngstown Lions Club lighting contest winners

The Youngstown Lions Club recently announced winners of its Outdoor Lighting Contest, held last month in the Town of Porter and Village of Youngstown.

Lions Club members viewed outdoor home decorations in the town and the village, from the areas of Lower River Road east to Porter Center Road and from Lake Road to the Porter town line on the evening of Dec. 10. Judging was based on originality, creativity and Christmas/ holiday spirit.

Those homes that have won over the past three years were not eligible for this year's contest. The decision of the judges is final.

2011 Prizes

•First place, 971 Meadow Drive. The resident received a $100 gift card to Tops Markets.

•Second place, 431 Oak St. The resident received a $75 gift card to Tops Markets.

•Third place, 122 Campbell St. The resident received a $50 gift card to Tops Markets.

The Youngstown Lions Club sponsors the annual Youngstown Lions Outdoor Lighting Contest. The officers and members of the Youngstown Lions Club would like to congratulate the Youngstown/Porter community on the festive displays and wish everyone a happy new year.
