The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls rounds out 2011 with the 17th annual Joshua Revolution Conference, with ceremonies beginning last night, Dec. 27, and running through this Friday, Dec. 30. Traditionally held the week between Christmas and New Year's Day, the Christian conference welcomes more than 2,000 youth and adult attendees from Western New York and Southern Ontario. This year marks the fifth year that the convention has been held in the facility.

Throughout 2011, the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls hosted 225 separate events, with an estimated 80,000 people brought to downtown Niagara Falls. With the addition of the Niagara Holiday Market, conference attendees will enjoy more activity during their downtime as various food vending and shopping is offered on the neighboring Old Falls Street, as well as an ice skating rink and other activities.

"We are happy to offer a more well-rounded experience for conference attendees this year," said Ryan Coate, general manger of the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls and Old Falls Street, and president of the Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association. "We are looking forward to a busy 2012 as our facility hosts more guests to the area, bringing more people and more commerce downtown during the winter season and throughout the year."

The next events planned at The Conference & Event Center are the annual Flips Gymnastics tournament, Jan. 6-7, 2012, and the Cheer Tech cheerleading competition, which will mark its first time in Niagara Falls, on Jan. 14.
