Ceremony pays tribute to beloved member of the police force
A memorial for "Rocky" was held Monday evening at the Starpoint Central School District, where the Niagara County Sheriff's K-9 and his handler Niagara County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Beiter worked with many of the children in D.A.R.E. instruction. Rocky died in the line of duty Dec. 4 during a burglary search in Niagara Falls. Those who filled the auditorium included area law enforcement officers, both human and canine.
