Two Niagara Falls USA landmarks will partner this New Year's Eve for an outdoor celebration, as Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel will be a "Diamond Sponsor" for the Hard Rock's New Year's Eve Guitar Drop, hosted by nearby Hard Rock Café, Niagara Falls, USA. The event closes out 2011 in a fashion befitting one of the world's most popular tourist destinations, and takes place along Old Falls Street - adjacent to Seneca Niagara.

The sponsorship follows in a long line of community support from Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in 2011 - most notably, $1.275 million toward a new downtown culinary institute through Niagara County Community College, and a major sponsorship of the ongoing 37-day Niagara Holiday Market with European-style outdoor shopping and family-friendly winter activities.

"Hard Rock's New Year's Eve Guitar Drop is a great event for Niagara Falls and we know that the whole region benefits when we partner together," said Jim Wise, senior vice president of marketing for Seneca Gaming Corporation. "This is an event that screams excitement and entertainment, and that's what Seneca Niagara is about, too."

A main attraction for the evening is a free outdoor concert by The Wailers, the legendary band that played with reggae icon Bob Marley. This is the group's second visit to Niagara Falls in 2011, as members performed at the intimate 440-seat Bear's Den Showroom inside Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel on May 27.

Hard Rock's New Year's Eve Guitar Drop also features heated tents, food and beverage concession stands, and fireworks. An illuminated 10-foot fiberglass Gibson guitar will slowly lower 120 feet from the air to usher in a "rockin' " 2012.

"We're thrilled to have Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel's support for a New Year's Eve party like no other," said Dominic Verni, general manager, Hard Rock Café Niagara Falls, USA. "Together with Seneca Niagara and the City of Niagara Falls, we anticipate more than 15,000 people to visit Old Falls Street - located in the heart of the 'Honeymoon Capital of the World.' "

As part of the sponsor package, Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel will provide monetary support for the event, hotel accommodations for VIP guests, and round-trip airport transportation for The Wailers.

Seneca Niagara also promises its own grand celebrations before and after the Guitar Drop. On New Year's Eve, four regional bands will provide free entertainment from 1 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. at Club 101, located in the middle of the casino gaming floor. Inside the Bear's Den Showroom, Australian rock group Little River Band will perform shows at 8 and 11 p.m. (tickets starting at $55). For those staying overnight in Niagara Falls, renowned "insult comic" Lisa Lampanelli will perform stand-up on New Year's Day at 8 p.m. inside Seneca Niagara Events Center (tickets starting at $30).
