'Tis the season to be jolly.

Not feeling it yet? Well perhaps The Wilson "Community Christmas Celebration" will give you a reason to celebrate? This event promises to get you ready for Christmas and perhaps replace some of the missing cash from your wallet at the same time.

It's Christmastime and those planning this madcap evening of entertainment are feeling pretty generous. Pastor Stephen Hay of the First Baptist Church of Wilson said, "We are looking to give away prizes all night - some could even be worth as much as $200. You're not going to want to miss out."

Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. is the time, and Wilson High School Auditorium is the place. Hay said everyone is invited, so he wants you to bring yourself, your spouse, your kids, your signing voice, and your pre-Christmas excitement for a huge community Christmas celebration featuring live Christmas music, competitions, a chance to sing a Christmas carol or two, hilarious skits, and an interview with a very special guest.

Hay suggested that some folks might be harboring a secret desire to be an elf, and he said this could be their chance to make it happen. "A few lucky people will definitely make that dream come true at the celebration," he said.
