Assemblyman John Ceretto had the honor Tuesday of acting as "Principal of the Day" at the Niagara Street School. Ceretto noted that his participation in the "Principal For A Day" program was a terrific opportunity for him to learn firsthand about the day-to-day scenarios facing today's students, teachers and administrators in his district.
"As a former teacher, I felt in my element," Ceretto said. "While voting in Albany, I'll be sure to remember my experience today, as we make decisions impacting schools across New York state."
As the honorary "Principal for a Day," Ceretto went through before-school activities, visited classrooms, shared lunch with students, and participated in several meetings.
