The California sea lions at the Aquarium of Niagara will take a break from showing off their skills beginning Monday, Nov. 28, to Friday, Dec. 16. Their main pool will be emptied and prepared for painting Monday, Dec. 12.

Except for that day, the Aquarium of Niagara will be open for visitors at half price admission ($5 for adults; $3 for children). The second floor will not be open to the public, however. Sunday, Nov. 27, will be the last day for sea lion shows. They will not be on exhibit again until Dec. 16 when the pool is expected to be done.

The sea lion pool is usually scraped, sanded and painted every two years.

Call the Aquarium of Niagara at 285-3575 to make sure the pool has reopened.
