Veterans Day on the Island

Islanders celebrated a windy Veterans Day at the Memorial Wall on Bedell Road last Friday. Members of the DeGlopper VFW Post No. 9249, American Legion Post No. 1346, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 168 were on hand for the ceremony, which included a salute to Korean War vets.
