Nik Wallenda will know before Christmas whether he can stage his wirewalk across the Niagara Gorge in front of the Horseshoe Falls.
Wallenda pleaded his case in a short, 12-minute presentation Thursday morning to the Niagara Parks Commission. Wallenda talked about his reason for wanting to try the walk, about safety and about the economic impact.
There were no questions or comments from commissioners.
NPC interim chairwoman Janice Thomson introduced Wallenda during the public portion of the commissioners' meeting, but not before outlining the Commission's long-standing policy against stunting.
