The Business Council of New York State Inc has named Assemblyman John Ceretto a pro-jobs lawmaker. The organization reviewed the voting records of all 212 state legislators on a series of bills that carried significant economic impact, and concluded that Ceretto was one of the staunchest supporters of job creation in the Empire State.

"Since day one, I have made job creation in Western New York and Niagara County a top priority," Ceretto said. "This year, my colleagues and I made impressive strides to improve the state's business climate by passing legislation such as Recharge NY, SUNY 2020, and the Excelsior Jobs Program."

Locally, Ceretto was recognized for his support of the region's small business community and received the Niagara Street Business Association's Statesman of the Year Award for his pro-jobs advocacy.

"I look forward to continuing my work to create, attract and retain the jobs that will turn New York's economy around and result in a bright future for the next generation," Ceretto said. "As we prepare to enter the 2012 legislative session, lawmakers must remain focused on improving the economy and supporting private-sector job creators."
