Grand Island Cub Scout Pack 630 spent some time with U.S. Border Patrol agents Monday, Nov. 7, at the U.S. Border Patrol Sector Office on Grand Island to learn about the mission of Border Patrol and the duties of the agents.

Border Patrol Agents Michael Scioli and Kristopher Krahl presented their hands-on program to local Cub Scouts (Bear Den), who ranged in age from 8 to 10. Family members were also in attendance.

Scouts also had the opportunity to interact with agents and become familiar with equipment unique to their job, such as night vision goggles and personal radiation detectors; and Border Patrol vehicles such as the sedan, SUV, Humvee, and the Harley Davidson motorcycles, the only team of Border Patrol Harley Davidson's in the United States.

The Scouts were polled at the end of the evening as to what was their favorite part of the program and the consensus was that everything had equally captured their imaginations.
