Buffalo United presents a night of multi-denominational praise and worship on Nov. 11. The free event runs from 7 until 9 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) at Resurrection Life, 2145 Old Union Road, Cheektowaga.

Worship leaders and musicians from different Christ-believing denominations have come together to form the Buffalo United worship team with one mission: the church working together for God and for Western New York. The "Rise" theme comes from Micah 7:8, which reads, "Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."

The worship concert will focus on motivating the church of Buffalo to work together - regardless of theological differences. The goal is to worship, pray and minister the gospel with one another, and not just within four church walls. The Buffalo United ministry believes God will do even more amazing things in the Western New York area if the church -- His bride -- works as one.

The worship team for "Rise" is comprised of different praise leaders and musicians. Corey Coogan of Elmwood Drive will lead the session.

"Just as Jesus prayed in John Chapter 17, we want to see the church of the WNY area united together, regardless of our diverse theological or denominational beliefs," said event organizer Matt Crouch.

Kyle Patterson, creator of "Unite" and "Thrive" magazines, is the guest speaker at Friday's event.

"Rise" is the first of many themes for Buffalo United. For more information, visit www.buffalo-united.com, email [email protected], or follow the group on Facebook at www.facebook.com/buffalounited.
