The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, welcomes The Temptations and The Four Tops on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre, located on the North Campus.

For half a century, The Temptations and The Four Tops have been essential to the Motown hit-making machine that has helped define contemporary American pop music. Having sold tens of millions of records throughout their careers, the Grammy-winning and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees frequently tour the country in a continuation of their legacy.

The Temptations scored its first No. 1 hit with "My Girl" and never looked back. Songs such as "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me," "I Can't Get Next To You," "Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)" and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" still resonate today. The band's career has outlasted many of its contemporaries and protégés - as bandleader Otis Williams says, "Great singing will always prevail."

The Four Tops began its career with the smash No. 1 hit "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)" and continued with an amazing string of successes, including "It's The Same Old Song," "Reach Out I'll Be There," "Ain't No Woman (Like The One I've Got)" and "Baby I Need Your Loving."

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo

This concert is presented by The Derico of East Amherst Corporation and its employees, a locally owned 15 outlet McDonald's organization. Concert proceeds benefit the families of the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo. Since opening its doors to families of seriously ill or injured children more than 25 years ago, the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo has provided comfortable, affordable lodging for 17,000 families from Western New York and around the world. The Ronald McDonald House is a family's "home-away-from-home" when their child requires specialized medical care at a Buffalo hospital.
