The hamlet of Sanborn will celebrate the completion of its streetscape project from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13. The ceremony will include invited guest speakers, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and refreshments under the tent at Firemen's Park, adjacent to the Sanborn Fire Co. on Buffalo Street (Route 429).
The streetscape features new sidewalks, electric gas light stands, flowerbeds, benches, new crosswalks, and lamp stands with electric plugs and colorful Sanborn banners.
This event is open to the public and is sponsored by the Sanborn Business and Professional Association.
The project was made possible from monies derived from the Host Community Greenway fund through the Town of Lewiston. For more information, call the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce at 754-9500.
